    Hi All,

As those of you who collect within the UK will know, it is quite rare to see anything ww2 soviet while at militaria fairs however at one of the larger shows(military odyssey) I managed to find these three medals. Only spotted the combat merit medal at first but when chatting with the seller he pulled out the two bravery medals and I decided to buy all three and they came at a more than reasonable price. If anyone could tell me any info on the serial numbers as in a rough date from when they were awarded it would be brilliant.

bravery award number 55689 with the early suspension

Bravery Award number 977357 later suspension unfortunately without the brass wartime backing plate.

combat merit medal number 1391157 also without the brass backing plate.

    Thanks

    Liam

The screw plate for the first Bravery Medal is not correct, but who knows, perhaps the veteran did this.

Here are my approximations of the dates these medals may have been awarded: 55689, spring 1942; 977357, late summer 1944; 1391157, spring 1945. By the way, I like the period two piece steel suspensions.

Are you going to have these researched? I think it would be interesting.

    Hi Liam, nice buys!

Like Bill says, Steel suspensions are OK.

    Cheers, Ade.
