Need help with War Merit medal - mixed feedback

Hello gentlemen,

I showed this medal somewhere else in a thread as well already but after a comment I got today I decided to create an own thread for this one.

Myself I bought this believing it to be an original early 5-sided suspension, mid-war War Merit medal with wartime replaced suspension and ribbon. I am fairly comfortable with my knowledge but everybody makes mistakes and so have I recently with one of these. Therefor I ask your opinions on this one, because the comment I got today was that this is a fake medal with original suspension and ribbon. In my view the medal is just polished and the letters are repainted red (which happened a lot so not a big deal to me).

What made them say this is a fake medal? There's nothing wrong with it in my opinion, aside from the painted letters, which as you said happened all the time.

First of all thanks a lot gentlemen! I am glad you confirm my own opinion on this medal.
The negative comment I received was about the slightly tilted letter A and the unequal feet of that same letter A in the word 3A and the lacking details on the sword and rifle. To me it is just a heavy worn, and very cleaned/polished medal which did receive a new paintjob on the letters.
