A dream has come true! A super low Order of Glory third class my favorite Soviet award! Serial number 16,879! sent email today to get research ASAP!

I collected German items for about 6 months and became frustrated with prices and fakes. A year ago I bought one OG

Hi Doomula, I have always only collected American and German medals myself. That is a gorgous medal you have. Much nicer than the one I have. I included the front and back of the only Russian medal I have. It is supposed to be the medal given to Russian troops that fought in and around Stalingrad. The trouble with collecting Russian medals for me is its so difficult to translate the language, and there are fakes also. Thanks for sharing yours.

The medal you have is not a defense of Stalingrad it is a defense of Leningrad still a great medal.

Thank you sir! Now you know why I don't collect Russian stuff. I knew it is was from one of those grad places. I can tell your Glory 3rd Class is a high award. Is that similar to an Iron Cross Second class?

The order of glory was awarded in three classes to non-commissioned officers and rank-and-file of the armed forces, as well as junior lieutenants of the air force, for bravery in the face of the enemy. Another great part about is the fact that the serial number can be researched. You can find out all kinds of info about the solider who was awarded.
