PapaStalin,
As a beginning collect we have no problem helping, it's what we like to do here.
But the best way for you to learn this craft is to first do some self study. Compare it to originals (use the forum search function) and then post it with your thoughts as to why you think it is fake or real.
You might be right or you might be totally wrong. You won't get beaten up for it. We enjoy when we see people trying.
I gty you that by doing this you will learn much quicker and retain it much better.

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Thanks, I will definitely do this from now on.

A good Glory
You are lucky but follow the advice of MAP ...
I also like it. Nice to see so much gold because usually this is almost completely worn off. Furthermore nice that it still has the original suspension with uncut connection ring and what looks like the original ribbon. Probably awarded in the 2nd half half of 1945.
And I fully agree with what is said above. It comes all down to study, study, study. You'll develop 'an eye' for originals and fakes. And when in doubt always ask for more opinions before spending hard earned cash
I think it's too late to study ...
Soviet Orders Display Case?
One may wonder what is the exact approach ??

Thanks for all of the replies, and also yes, I am a newer collector of Soviet militaria. Also, thanks for the case suggestion! I have one last question, what are your thoughts of the eBay seller 79Grunn, I heard that he is a reliable source of medals and orders, but I would like to see what others think. Thanks!
