To be more precise 85s: 1st class is gold plated silver. 2nd - silver (as they say in the UK sterling silver)

Not what I usually collect but this appealed to me-20th anniversary "I got out of the Great Patriotic War alive" award
That's no mean feat if you're a Russian conscript. The red army didn't really have much of a 'duty of care' policy!
Its a really nice looking medal as well, makes a change from the usual bronze disc or star with no real detailing. Nice example by the way.

Gents it's an order not medal and it's 40 years of victory. Although issued in vast number, but not every vet got one.
The best description I ever heard of 85s was
"Thank you guys, no really thank you for all you done."
