I'm not too familiar with WW2 issue Orders of the Patriotic War. Does this example look genuine? I was wondering about the marks next to the screwpost.

It is a nice original Leningrad Mint Order, type 2 variant 4.3.1. according to the following list:

Attribution to 8 GuA in May 1945 is made due to proximity to other known to me numbers and when and where they were awarded.
But this is just an indication. You need to get it researched to know for sure and to find the name of the veteran. This will open a number of further research possibilities.
