my two orders of the red Banner of labour ! the first in left is late 1950-1952 low number ,and the plate for ribbon is brass (heavy weight ) rare , the second is late medal , 7 digits, easy to find and the plate for ruban is alluminium low weight. Another diff , is the dimention of medal , and the Sickle is overcoat the hammer (late modell )
Beautiful set!! This is one of the more beautiful Soviet Orders. I love the blue enameling!
Out of curiosity Pierre, how much did those two cost? I may buy one for $125.

the late medal i pay $50 or $55 us dollard in 2004 in Kiev ( Ukraine ), the early 1950-52 i pay $85 us dollard in EBAY in 2007 I am lucky with this , the value for the 1950 is more !!!

Collect Russia SOVIET ORDERS AND MEDALS Order of Red Banner of Labor Soviet Russian
CollectRussia is the site where I have bought most of my medal. I may look around ebay before chosing.
its a good site for CCCP medal and award but you pay the big price
I got most of my collection from Igor as well. I actively collected Soviet Orders and Medals between 1992 and 1994. I remember calling his place(before he had a website or even catalog) every payday to ask what he had. He always pointed me in the right direction... I have long since changed interests and focus, but fortunately I have managed to keep my Soviet collection intact. There is no way that I would ever consider collecting Soviet items now. They are priced far outside of my price range. I just wish I would have bought every Red Star I ever saw when they were five dollars a piece!
