Hi Guys, these were introduced post war in the 1960's after the old Excellent badges were discontinued.

There was one design for each branch of service, Army, Navy and Airforce.

As usual, early issues were better quality, like the Navy example shown here. Later ones like the VVS and Army ones shown here were painted alluminium alloy.
