Hi Guys, thanks to forum member Rob Truscot, here is a new adddition to my collection.
The lettering to the scroll reads in Latin script as "BGTO", or Be Ready for Labour and Defence of the USSR, "Будь готов к труду и обороне СССР".
As well as general athletic tests, by the late 1930's the tests had a increasing para military nature to them, such as forced marches, grenade throwing, carrying ammo boxes, etc.
