    John,

Ade has a fantastic site about Russian medals. It is the order of honor.

Do you have the badge in the hand as I seen one remarkably similar on Sunday this side of the water. The serial looks close to the one I had in my hand, it was selling for 50€.

    Regards

    Jock

The serial is for sure post war one approx 50-60 years IMO. This is not a military order and it's price between 60-100 USD
That is not my area, but I guess someine could help you here

Thanks for the replies so far guys

I have just bought a large box of bits blind. There were some great items in there (check my site for the DDR dress dagger, and the polish Air force dagger) and a couple of Russian ones. I would just like to know a bit about it. Didn't think i had landed an ultra rare award that only 2 people have ever seen, but we live in hope one day

    John,

    I like an optimist.

Its a nicley made badge the quality is tempting me to dig in to these Russian items more.

Hi John, I think I have made a convert

Here is the link to the website Jock mentioned. I sent him a link to it the other night. It will give you a basic grounding in most Soviet awards:

The Soviet Military Awards Page. Medals, History and Russia!

The Order of the Badge of Honour actualy started life in the form of a screwback badge (hence the name) but in June 1943 was changed with the addition of a ribbon to become more of a medal in format.

The wording on the flags is the old favourite Marxist slogan of "Workers of the World Unite!". The words at the botton read "Badge of Honour"

    Cheers, Ade.

Ade, thanks that is one hell of a site. After seeing what you picked up on Sunday. I felt really envious of you, and when this came in I thought "I'm going to keep this" and i will

    thanks again to you all.
