Soviet Academy Badge copy

I understand that this badge is a copy.
But there is a doubt.

Is this badge a copy of the Soviet era?
Or is it a copy of the Russian era?

Is this made for commercial purposes?

Or was it made for officers?

It seems that this badge was actually used.
The screw is cut short.

Look at this one. The seller tells it's original, but I'm not the expert here.

Certainly Soviet era (note the hammer and sickle in the center portion), and worn by officers only. It's a military academy graduation badge, 1957 model(?) and has been modified to include the specific school (which in this case is, I think, the Voroshilov Academy). There's no firm consensus on these badges with school plates; some say they are copies while others claim they are private purchases that were neither officially made or sanctioned for wear.
