Is this a Soviet era medal?

Hello guys,

The medal you see in the pictures is laying around in my home for a while. I don't collect Soviet stuff, but I have been trying to find out what kind of medal this is and what era it's from. So far I have nothing and I'm clueless. Is there anybody here who knows what this is? Once I know, I can decide on selling it or giving the medal away.
Your help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

It is Czechoslovakian; obverse "Merited Worker of Agriculture and Food", and reverse "For Contributions to the Development of Socialist Agriculture and Food Industry".
