Here we have a very late war Medal for Valor, numbered 3,014,681. Awarded I "think" somewhere around April - May 1945.
One thing that drew me to this one is the original red filling for the letters, which by and large is still intact. It's common to find much or most of this having fallen out. The ribbon appears to be original to the medal, as the bar that holds it down on the reverse of the attachment is completely flat still and shows no signs of tampering. Ribbon replacement was common on Soviet awards that were well worn during and after the war. So, it was refreshing to see one that appears to still be original to the medal.
The medal also came with a replacement ribbon should I want to replace the one on it, but I have no intention of doing so.
