Recently I bought this nice Soviet M31 paratrooper breast badge. The badge was made at "Vsekohudozhnik" in Moscow. On the backside of the badge there is an engraved inscription; OAX (OSOAVIAKhIM), followed by a five digit number.

In the collection I also have a fabric variant of the paratrooper badge. I don't know exactly from which period it is. Can anyone tell me more about the fabric badge?

Asjemenou, I may be wrong but to my knowledge there is no version "fabric" for the Soviet paratroopers badges. Besides, you can see that he is missing parachutist and that the star is devoid of the hammer and the sickle ?

    I like it too.

Never seen or heard of a cloth version before.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Thanks for your comments.
Because of the strong comparison, I had the impression that the fabric para badge could be Russian.
I have tried to identify the badge but that has not really been successful.
I suspect it could be a Yugoslav para badge.
    Can anyone confirm this?

Can't confirm but I'd not be surprised if it was Yugo or another Eastern Block country.
