War Merit medal # 572454
Together with the Order of Patriotic War II shown in a seperate thread, I also received this new War Merit medal, numbered # 572454 which roughly dates it to the 2nd half of 1943. Backplate suspension is replaced by a brass one, ring still uncut (??)
The medal itself shows nice signs of actual wear, f.e. the marks on the back below the serial number. These medals are still very cheap to collect yet give great collecting pleasure.
Still need to have research done but that comes when the wallet is more full again haha
