Article about: Hi guys in my quest of US medals i have managed to pick up 2 sets one i believe present and one of WW2 period i hope, the latter needs a lapel pin to complete the set. Neither are named. any

    Hi guys in my quest of US medals i have managed to pick up 2 sets one i believe present and one of WW2 period i hope, the latter needs a lapel pin to complete the set. Neither are named.
    any thoughts , comments most welcome

    Any thoughts here guys, like to know if the earlier one is ww2 period.

    The one with the V device is definitely not second world war vintage. The one in the older box looks like it is of the right vintage to be second world war.

    Thanks i knew the latter is current issue valor bronze star, it is still a nice complete set.
    The ww2 period one needs a lapel pin to complete both display very in their own right.

    The one that has the slotted broach is the older of the 2. It's use came in 1944 by the Army 1945 for Navy, but this type was also used up to 1960. I wish you luck on completing it.
