Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings

Bit of Info:
After the liberation of Czechoslovakia in 1945 the “S.V.O.P.” Svaz Osvobozených Politických Vězňů - Union of Liberated Political Prisoners was founded. This Union brought people together who were persecuted by the Nazi power during the occupation, regardless of their political background or affiliation.
The decision was already founded in 1946 (the medal was instituted in 1947) and produced the first visible distinction as a reminder of the difficult years of imprisonment these people spent in concentration camps and prisons. The actual distinction was not originally officially recognized as a National decoration. But in early 1947 it was legalized by the Ministry of National Defence.
Many thanks for the additional info !
