Atlantic Star: WWII period?

Hi,

I purchased this Atlantic Star from a Canadian collector.

I would like to confirm that it's a original WW2 period star.

And i have a question:

Is it possible to distinguish the british stars from the canadian

or both were made by the same makers?

I can't see any problem with the Atlantic Star, although the blue side of the ribbon is worn on the left.

With one exception, it's imposssible (IMO) to tell the diference between Canadian and British Stars.

The exception is the Canadian France and Germany Star. Some Canadian F&Gs have the GRI VI positioned on a slightly domed background. This is noticable if you put one of the domed Stars beside a flat British version.

I've been told that some other Canadian Stars are sometimes domed, but I've only seen F&Gs. This subject has not been well researched, but I have a couple of the domed type myself. They sell for a premium, being scarce.
