    An extremely unusual grouping-Cpl Thomas L Johnson MM, 2/11 Battalion 2AIF-awarded the Military Medal in the Western Desert in 1941, captured in Crete May 1941 then POW, postwar he married an American woman, moved to the US, he joined the US Army, served 2 tours of the Korean war then 3 tours of Vietnam. The WA Army Museum holds his medals from both armed forces as well as his US Dress uniform as a Master Sergeant.

    Amazing military career, that is a lot of campaigns

    I am used to seeing an American ribbon following an Australian group, but not the other way around. Thank you for sharing this.
