Default Australian YMCA - WW2 - ID needed

    Fellows,
Hope you can help with identification of the YMCA badge?

    I collect Polish WW2 memorabilias.
Recently, I have found this Australian badge together with some Polish WW1 / WW2 medals and badges, in London UK. The badge is marked Gount London (well known maker of military badges, as I am sure you know).

Poles and Australians had been together in Tobruk – so perhaps fellows swapped it there?. Very occasionally, WW2 Polish groupings also consists the YMCA badge – but, Polish one (usually field made casted) – badges like that are considered very rare find.

    Any thoughts / ID ideas?

Thanks for the post – indication etc.

I hope Australian collectors / specialists will know some details – that would be great!.
Although, it is equally possible – there will not be conclusive ID (as it happened to me with Polish Cap Eagles / small WW2 badges on nr of occasions)

There is no doubt that YMCA was working closely with various Allied military forces during WW2 – so from that point of view is a relevant artefact.

I was surprised myself with this find – especially as it has the Gaunt markings. In the context of Polish Cap Eagles (a few variants had been produced by Gaunt) – it is understood that only early versions are marked – as the war progressed – signature(s) for some reason(s) disappeared.
