Recently acquired grouping of items to a father and son.
The father, Charles Reade Phillips, served initially with the Army, in the Aviation Signal Reserve Corps, from Jan 1918 to his discharge in Jul 1918.
Immediately following his discharge, he enlisted in the USMC, until his discharge in Aug 1919.
Overseas service spanned Nov 1918 to Jul 1919, with the 11th Regiment in France as part of the 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade.
First up, his USMC Good Conduct Medal, with accompanying certificate:
WWI Victory Medal with incorrect combination of France bar and Maltese Cross, and theater made ribbon bar (not sure if this is his given the star device)
Sharpshooter Badges
Engraved table top medal, awarded by Jefferson County (Ohio), for service in "The World's Great War"
Lastly, these items are clearly not a part of Charles' service, however were likely brought home by him.
