Medal Identification.

I have had this in my collection for awhile and have been unable to ID it. It is English and has the "3 Lions" and "Crown" on it. It was given to an Uncle during the War.

The crown is not British, neither King's or Queen's pattern.

It's a post war Danish Army beret badge.

Are you sure its "Post War"? I ask because it was with a whole lot of my Uncles WW2 stuff and some of the items he got from other allied soldiers after VE Day in France/Luxembourg.

Yep, the others are right.
A post war beret badge. Issued to personal not serving in a specific regiment (after 1958), or worn on the M/44 garrison cap on the older uniforms. Used from 1945 to 1958 in the regular army, and much later in the home guard.

It is missing the brass split on the back.

Last two are the older M/44 garrison cap, introduced in 1945 for the reformed Danish army.
It is modelled after the pre war helmet badge, but it is impossible to mistake the two from another.
