My first British medal bar

Article about: I do have a few British medals but all given to Belgian's. This one is named to a driver of the RASC. A nice auction house pick up for 100Ä.

    Had to check it! ;-)
It was De Grave, Celine Ludorica. Someone of my hometown who, along with here sister Marguerite, worked for the M14/ Van Houcke service.

Yes this is the usual way of swing mounting medals. I have quite a few sets as I have been collecting medals for some time. I much prefer the swing mount as opposed to the court mounted way.

The medals do come very close to one of my main themes in my militaria collection, and that is the Beglian Congo theme.
These chap's might have very well come very close to Belgian Congo soldiers during the mahdist war's....
    cheers
