Dear members.
This thread to share experience with repairs.
I start here with some pictures because I could use some good
advice. What should be done and what should not be touched? Is it
possible to repair enamel?

Martin

I have a german war cross with swords and the same thing happened to mine, i took it to a jeweller who repaired it perfectly as for the enamels this i believe can be repaired but only by a proffesional jeweller who specialises in enamels
I personally like it untouched, or in its original state, it adds to the history, however Dave is right about the enamels being done be a professional.
