    Here's a reminder to us all about recording the history (if known) of our items.
    I bought this several years ago in an antique shop with no story to it! The little bit of paper is inscribed 'This one saved my life ##### 1942'. I can't decipher where!!!! It looks like Muscat, but I'm not sure.

    wow very interesting piece, it must deflect a bullet or something, but we can only wonder what truly happened!

    Looks like that puppy caught a fragment of FLAK over the target area. Probably did save this chaps life.

    Very interesting piece.

    Interesting item and very well worn before it was damaged.

    Does it say March 1942? Probably not but worth a guess.
