Picked up these today , a interesting group
A very nice grouping, quite a few years back I collected RFC medals but let them go when I changed direction. Something I still regret to this day as they are scarce compared to the line regiments. Leon.
I've just checked ancestry but couldn't find anything apart from his MIC and the 14 Star medal roll but if you're on Find My Past you should be able to access his RAF service record.
I once went a little crazy on ebay bidding for a RFC trio and won for a very reasonable price, it was only then that I realised it was RFA.

Very nice group!...
What is the Rank and number on the Rim of the LGSC medal? He should have an interesting postwar service history. Also - he will have 2 MIC cards, one for the 14 star under the Wilts service number and one for the service pair under the RFC service number and a notation in his service file for the LGSC medal probably in the late 1920's/early 1930's.. Nicely done.
Very nice set.........!
Regards,
Steve.
The others are marked 26134 Cpl Benham RAF
He was a blacksmith in the RAF on 5 shillings a day, sounds like not bad pay to me.

Thank you Tony
I've just paid a 1 month subscription so if you'd like a copy of his papers (only 2 pages and nothing to get excited about) and 1918 muster roll, pm me your email and I'll send them on.
