    Default Ribbon bar help

I bought a larger lot of items from a Wisconsin vet. I have some questions about his ribbon bars, in particular the ones on the far right in the first and second rows. Plus the bottom ribbon bar (on the reverse photo perspective).

The top one on the far right (Occupaton ribbon bar) is obviously a clutch back and has a plastic overlay. Is the plastic anything significant? Does indicate an overseas manufacturer?

The Good Conducat on the far right in the second row has black covering over the back so you cannot see the metal base. I have been told that this is the early war version of this ribbon bar. Is that true? Does this backing have any other significance, such as overseas manufacture?

The bottom ribbon bar is English-made from what I have been told. Is this true and is there anything else I should know about it?

Is there anything else I should know about the ribbon bars pictured?

Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hi Brian, the plastic overlay version is late war as far as I know? I rather like these. They are US made.

Sorry I cannot help further on these.

    Cheers, Ade.

The bottom ribbon bar is a Theatre made European campaign with two bronze battlestars and good conduct beside it.

I'm not positive, but plastic covered ribbons may be for the U.S. Navy.

The black-backed ribbon may be foreign made, as you suggest
because it's not the norm, however all these ribbon bars are
very common WWII types - WWII Good Conduct medals
and their bars were probably issued in the Korean and
    Vietnam wars as well........
