Article about: Guys, Been back to UK at the week end and found this group. I thought it had a bit of character to it and that some old boy has worn them with pride at some point. I love the 'tired' ribbons

    Been back to UK at the week end and found this group.

    I thought it had a bit of character to it and that some old boy has worn them with pride at some point.

    I love the 'tired' ribbons.

    They were cheap and cheerful so I had em!

    Nice honest looking group. Always makes me a bit sad to see them sold. But glad they have gone to a good home.

    Very true Ade, but I suppose without 'money grabbing off-spring' we would be out of a hobby. I was drawn to them because of the ware and tare on the ribbon, truly sad that people will part with family history for the price of a round in the local.

    You know Jock, that is exactly why I collect the Victory medal. The name is right on the rim, and there is a chance to get the back to their rightful owner's family. Some part of the family may want them back.
