Article about: I was looking through some sites and found this medal, but I can't find it on any of regular research sites. Couldn't even find anything at the MoD. So I was hoping someone here might be abl

If there is a name on the rim then you may be able to spot the recipient in the London Gazette online.
I have attached a pic of my one which also came with the box, ribbon bar and certificate awarded in 1944.

Thanks Oz, I didn't know about the gazette. The seller has 2 of these, both named but both are in Japan, go figure. I looked one of them up, he might have been a postman, but there were also 1000 hits. Might take a bit to sort it out, but it's fun finding a place to research more people.

Medals seem to international currency these days and will end up far from home. If you get these then you could consider posting their details on the British Medals Forum in the research section where others will help. I really enjoy doing the research, you never where you will go.
