    Any help would be appreciated:

I know this is a Us Airship badge but first is it real not a reprod and second what is the time period of its use. Also, how much would it be worth?

Back pic is a little blurry but a P is very visible and it appears to be stamped twice "sterling"
    thanks in advance

This one is a cast copy - as most are. Originals today are well over $1000.00.
These were used from the 1920's up to WWII. The one above is very
poorly executed, so not worth too much, IMO.

Below is a similar repro, but in a different pattern and with better detailing.
It cost me $100 ten years ago - I knew at the time it was a fake - but
because they are so rare and I didn't have one, I went for it.........

    Steve,

Thanks for your response. Sad to hear its fake but not surprised. Is around $100 a price range for it even has a repro?

Does anyone have a genuine one for comparison?

I paid $35 for a "sterling" repro at Louisville two years ago.

For the one you posted, I'd say a lot less because it has smeared
details to the feathering on the front, plus the pin is backwards
and the markings are wrong. Maybe around $40 ?

There are much 'nicer' repros out there if you really want one.

$35 is a reasonable price for a 'good' repro.

They are quite rare. I don't think there are any Forum members
with an original. There is one guy that I know of here that
might have one, but he only collects WWI wings.........
