US Navy Cross

The Navy Cross is the second highest 'combat only' award of the
US naval service, next to the Congressional Medal Of Honour.

It is one of my favorite American medals.........

It is a nicely designed medal, awarded for combat actions where
ones own personal safety is at risk........

Very nice Navy Cross...it's a crimp brooch withe a Graco hallmark, which indicates that it was made anywhere from the 70's to current day

Great medal.
The Navy is very stingy with this decoration.
They are difficult to find.

Especially WWII types.........!

I've heard that original medals are made in separate pieces,
but all current Crosses I've seen are one piece.........
