The Utica medal.
Continuing my CNY (central New York) theme, I am sharing my Utica medal for veterans of World War 2. I have been after one of these for a little while and this one jumped right into my lap and the price was perfect.
These were issued by cities and districts across the US and I think they are interesting in their own right.

Pretty neat. Last time I was in Utica...I was about 10 years old. I remember taking a tour of the "Utica Club" brewery. They still brewing beer ? Probably not
I believe it is still operating real!
I will be up in the Rhinebeck, Germantown area soon. Maybe I will buy a six packby carpediem
I may be wrong, but it seems like I have heard it is still active. There was quite a connection to the Mohawk Valley and the war effort.
