I have been looking for a long time for a pair of these and I just recently purchased mine. I could only find the punched versions similar to yours for a decent price, but I finally got lucky and got a marked set.

My advise for anyone else looking to purchase a similar item, 1. research first and know what you want and whats real. 2. wait for the right item (price and quality) Here are some pictures of mine for comparison.

One thing that some wing collectors will tell you, is to be cautious of N.S. Meyer
wings, as they are still in business and have been making 'collector'
    restrikes for quite a while.

Ben, your wings are a WWII pattern known as the 'Pelican bill' which was used
by several manufacturers, but they could possibly be post war too. Generally,
WWII U.S. wings are made of sterling silver. This field is full of fakes and
deceptive pieces - much like Third Reich stuff, where much study
and examination of genuine pieces is required.

Below, a set of three Pilot wings that have the same logo and address on the
reverse - one with a 'Sterling' mark. It's not sterling IMO, but perhaps
someones attempt at trying to pass it off as such. Plus, close-ups
of Meyer markings which are accepted as WWII era.........
