    Default 150mm shell case found

    Hello!
I've found a 150mm shell case and i need help identifying what gun used it and what country.Length of the shell was around 52-55 cm and at the bottom, there was aluminum or steel ring.It weighed at least 25kg and the ballistic cone is missing. There were no letters i could find that's why i'm asking your help.I'm sorry about the low quality picture.

What ever gun it comes from, it still looks live! If it is, it needs to be reported to the Police/EOD right away!
    Best Regards

That is good, had me worried there, but better safe than sorry! To be able to ID it, we'll need better pictures. Also: What country are you located in?

Sorry, that was the only picture I could find.I might be able to make new ones in a few months because I don't go there often. There were no letters or such.It was just plain metal surface and the only visible thing is that white ring. Also the bottom was pretty thick when I knocked on it.I'm from Estonia but the shell is located at my country home which is 20km away from Tartu, Estonia.Tartu is in south Estonia and I know that there were pretty heavy battles there but not so sure about my country home surroundings.

Well if there were no markings at all, it's unlikely to be German- they marked the heck out of everything LOL Maybe someone who knows Soviet stuff can say whether there's a possibility, with the incredible quantities of artillery ammunition they produced, that it wasn't always marked. German ammunition usually used sintered iron for its driving bands, so I wouldn't expect that to go white like that either- it should rust or not just as the steel shell does- so again that would seem to rule them out as the source. Of course there've been nearly 70 years of intervening time during which the shell could have been made and left as well- it doesn't necessarily have to be WWII vintage.

Hopefully better photos will help- but without any markings it might be difficult to nail down whose ammunition it is...

Thank you for your responses everyone! I will try to get better pictures as soon as I can but it can take up to a few months.I will post pictures here once I have them.
I'm also letting everyone know that I've found a Estonian independence war era soldier helmet (1920).It's in very good condition and well, it housed a spider family

Not holding my breath for photos. LOL.

I find something interesting, I photograph the shite out of it.

Fair play though, you can always use it as a candle holder.
