15mm Besa drill round - WW2 dated - A rare beast

Article about: Hi all In the immortal words of a fellow forum member and collector, please enjoy this gound dug 15mm Besa drill round. It cleaned up nicely and was donated to my collection by Bryn Garrett.

    I've a fealing that in the UK, a live Boys round would be a prohibited item (Unless section 5 licence is held) due to it being armour piercing. The 2 ground dug rounds were live when I found them, however the projectiles soon came out of the case due to swelling etc.

    The Boys Armour Piercing W Mark I and II are Section 5 in the UK, but all the other types of Boys ammo are only Section1 (if live). Fortunately I have a Section5 authority for my collection.

    Here are a few different Boys dummy and drill rounds from my colledtion.
