Default 1937 dated rounds to identify

    Hi all,

I've recently acquired these Belgium pre war dated rounds, stamped FN 32

I'm wondering what size ammunition this is, as it appears to be slightly smaller than the German 7.92's. Also, what gun would have fired these rounds?

    Thanks in advance guys.

I think these were probably for the Belgium FN model 1930 BAR, which used a 7.92 x 57mm round, (a variant of the American BAR). You need to make precise measurements of the cartridge to be sure.

Sorry guys, I forgot about this thread!

I've just measured the cartridge, and it's 53mm long. Does this help?
