    Hey all!

I'm after a bit of help with 2 shells I got from a flea market.

    Both are from 1936.

One has the German insignia, but there isn't a number after the "P" for place of manufacture. Would there be a reason for this?

The second has an insignia I do not recognise. Any help with this? It was made in P94, Nuernberg.

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Matt

Hi,the left picture has a date of 1938,the P marking is for Polte of Magdeberg Germany, the Nazi style WaA406 marking also is for Polte, you have the P94 ID right, that symbol is the older pre-nazi eagle,I could not find that one,is it WaA238,it`s hard to read......Pete.

    Hi Pete

The first is 1936 as well, just the picture makes it look like an 8 for some reason.

You are correct. It's WaA238. Would this tie up with the P94? Interesting they have different symbols. Attached is the Nazi insignia one, hopefully showing 1936 more clearly.

    Thanks for your help
