Default 20mm bring back, which weapon was it used in?

My Great-Grandfather went right over to Germany after civilians were allowed. I'm not sure if he bought it or found it, but when he came back, it was on his shelf until he died. It ended up in my Grandfathers hands, and now mine. I'd like to know what weapon it went to. Thank you.

I think the M.K. 2 designation makes this a British fighter round.

If you don't agree that should mean that you know about this round better than the other members..why asking then? One thing is for sure...it ain't WW2 German!

I never said I knew more...that is why I asked! I misread one of the posts, so I thought one comment was different from the rest. So..

If you see the second picture.....I show the base, which has markings. What other pictures would you need to see? I show the full thing and the base of it, I think that is all you would need, right?
