.303 Drill Rounds

Some battered, bent and beaten drill rounds, HS is DA 1922 VII. Somebody must have shot off one of them as the bullet is missing.

These are Canadian Dummy Drill Mark VI (Local Pattern).

How do you shoot of a drill round....?

I think Pete was just jokeing about it being shot or that is how I take it anyway.

Gee those rounds look similar to the SLR drill rounds I used in the Early 90's during basic training......yeh the projectiles on these get very loose after a lo of use, giving that "shot off" look....

Oh dear, let me explain...

As a relatively new member i was looking at old threads and came across Pete's one about the drill rounds. I then posted to give the correct title for those types of drill round, as they had not actually been identified to that point.

As he had jokingly said about one being fired, i carried on with the joke by asking him how he did it....

That is my point my friend!

Nice Drill rounds, I remember using these alot in the late 70,s early 80's during my time in the Army Cadet Force.
