9mm? WW2 found in UK

Article about: I thought these would be .45 thinking that is what the UK would use in this size, but these look to be 9mm and dated 194x. Are they 9mm and where where they used Allan

    Two things:

    First, there is nothing to stop you handing these rounds into a registered firearms dealer who can inert them and return them to you quite legally.

    Secondly, the rounds stamped "CII" are almost certainly actually "GII" which is Tracer G mark II.

    I should have added that the 9mm rounds are Ball Mark Iz if dated up until early 1944 but may be Ball Mark IIZ. Not all the early Mark IIz were headstamped as such.
