driving me mad....help

hello people, ive read the stickys & done a bit of googling but i just cant seem to find out what kind of shell/cartridge this is or what it was fired from.
it was given to me by my late uncle & i think its german as it has mkII stamped on the head although i may be wrong as i am by no stretch of the imagination an expert.
its the bigger cartridge in the group pic (just to give you some size scale)

any info would be much appreciated

i thought i read somewhere that only german cartridges were stamped with mk ...... shows what i know lol

'Mk II' is the short form of 'Mark II'

yeah thats what i assumed at first but while googling i read that germans were the only ones that stamped anything with mk on the head but you know what googles like.
now (thanks to you) i know its a british 2 pounder i'll have a much better idea of what fired it

You should have no trouble now google-ing: 'British 2pr MKII',
to find out all the tanks/vehicles it was used in...........!
