German 1907 shell case

Just acquired a shell case
I believe it's a 8.8cm submarine shell
But need a bit of help on the markings especially the symbols.

Its a Marine marked case but would need the size of the case to work out what it was from

Hi welcome to the forum. Without seeing the rest of the case I am guessing that this is from a German Navy 8.8cm L/30 Kanone in which case, while these may have been used on U- boats at some point (i'm not sure if they were or not) they were mainly used on surface vessels. I believe that the U- boat connection is played on by dealers to make these cases seem more "sexy".
