German Fuse container but for what.

Today I got this not sure for which weapon system.?

Lid marked 'brc 42'.

What's the diameter of the holes Jock?

23mm or there abouts.

And the holes are just long and cylindrical- I'd doubt then the container is for fuses, which are invariably conical. Maybe it's for detonators or 'gaines'? There are no other identifying markings on it at all- just the maker?

Its not a fuze canister
It is a canister for gains or boosters.
I guess this one is for zdl A for navy use ( have seen them on a wreck)

I have the same bakelite box found on last possitions of Werfer Regiment 70 and Infanterie Division 121 near Libau, it was near to Baltic sea. But I don't know what was there inside.
