Grenade lot

Hello. I just got this group of grenades out of a old collection. The isn't my field of collecting so thanks for any help .

I think this is a type 97 Japanese grenade.

This one is a British Mills bomb and I think it is a type 36.

This one I believe is a post WWII US grenade.

This one I think is a US Vietnam era grenade but I don't know what the metal box attached to it is for.

Your Mills is actually a No. 36M, which replaced the No. 36.

Thanks for the correction. Does 5 40 mean May 1940 production.?
