Default HE 3.7 cm C/30 projectile with EKzdr f. 3.7 cm C/30 fuze

    Hello,

I am looking for information about the EKzdr f. 3.7 cm C/30 fuze, which came mounted on a 3.7 cm C/30 projectile that I recently bought. I have found diagrams of the KZ 40, which was also used with C/30 projectiles, but it appears to be different from the EKzdr. Unfortunately, my fuze is stuck in the projectile so I haven't been able to fully compare it with the KZ 40. I have attached some pictures of the projectile (manufactured by ean / Lippstädter Eisen-und Metallwerke) and of the fuze.

It looks like your projectile is the older type (it would be with 3 copper bands).
and the new with 2 of metal bands .
the igniter is also the old type.
it is made from fully aluminum.
With a self-destruction , if the projectile stops spinning ( inside spinning wheel ) and it has hit nothing it would explode
the Kz 40 has a pyrotchnic igniter.
(more something of a time fuse . if it didn't hit anything then it would explode)
And consists of 2 aluminum parts .

    with the old typens
you can see the igniter from the bottom.
    not with the new ones
