Thank you Colin.
It is pre WWI.
It is the case for a German 7.92x57mm S Patrone made at Spandau as the 10th lot of 1911.
The charger is an American one for the .30 inch round and could be any vintage from 1906 to WW2.

Well done Tony,i do try to help my self but the SS headstamp came up as our helmeted friends on the interweb.
I was just reading an american article about charger clips and they were suggesting the 3 side bump type were g98,any thoughts ?
Ammo is my speciality, not chargers and clips, so I cannot comment. However, I think that is is an American charger but could be wrong (and often am).
Hopefully we have a member who can answer the question.
I should have said that one "S" stands for Spandau and the other to indicate it is the "S" patrone.
Cheers

I agree with the charger clip being a First World War type German one, I have a relic one that was found near Ypres. Cheers.
I also agree the clip is early German,I think the HS should be read as lot 11 of 1910 ?
