Can any Forum members help me to identify the following bullet.

The brass case is 75mm long. It measures 19mm in diameter.
The total length including head is 110mm. The tip is painted silver. The base of the cartridge has the following letters stamped into it:
    L C 6 4

Any help or advice will be much appreciated.

    Kind regards, Malcolm.

But as usual, it has the wrong projectile. The silver tipped round is an M8API from a .50 Browning. It should have a red and yellow tipped spotting bullet with a detonator in the nose.

Your round should have the bullet that is shown third from the left.
