    Hi,
    The British Brengun fired the standard .303 bullet. that is far bigger
    but i have never seen that type before.

    were did you found this one
    if its in nl or belgium it could be from an hemburg
    i found many of these amty shells whit the detector and always thought they were from an english machinegun

    oh well cant know everything

    Thanks for the helpful replies.

    It was found amongst papers that all related to WW1 – but this might be a false trail!

    It is certainly different from a .303 – the length of the 'head' seems much longer.

    search on google whit the name Prvi Partizan 7.5x54 French Ammo

    It believe it is a 6.5X50mm Japanese Round.. The Three staked priming is generally associated with Japanese small arm cartridges...BILL
