Help needed to identify flak fragments?
Article about: Those three horizontal lines are definitely not something you see every day; they're far, far too shallow and narrow to have anything to do with the driving bands. I have an 8,8cm Sprgr. 4,5

i do not know how in earth you or someone else could figure out where these two fragments come from.

They are pieces of metal with no markings on them. They could be off anything from a motorcycle engine to a bomb dropped from a zeppelin in WW1. I am afraid Adept is correct. There is no way anyone can identify what these came from.

You never know, this is WRF and from some of the things that I've seen identified in the past has really impressed me, even though these are just fragments the 3 bands on them might be able to tell someone what they are, do you have any idea on the history of these peices?

Its a free forum, everyone is entitled to their opinion, I know that Steve is far more experienced than me with this sort of thing, so his and Adepts might be a bit more logical compared to mine. Because after all this is just shrapnell but I always try to get answers even if the chance of getting them is close to non existant, maybe Steve and Adpet think differently and I respect their opinions and the way they see things
