I didnt know where this was supposed to go, but need help indentifying possible practice grenade?

Article about: I bought this awhile back, the guy told me it was a German practice grenade from WWII but Im not too sure. What do you guys think?

    It does look similar but look at the condition !

    Yours looks 60-70 years old, NCstrangms's looks like it came off the lathe yesterday morning. Even if it had been stored in a box in an attic for 60-70 years it would still have some wear on it.

    I think it is a real stick trainer of the period. It is just in good condition, and it does have some age to it if you look close.

    Here are a couple more types in my collection. There were many, many types of these. All slightly different. Most I have seen are not dated.

    The other odd stick in pic is some type of old display grenade. Maybe some kind of US WW2 training aid for identification basics? The head is some type of fiberglass or plastic. It is an old piece. I use it for a helmet stand
